The panoramic views from the gardens are reason enough for staying at this charming old rectory. Its hillside perch overlooks the grand sweep of Conwy Estuary, historic Conwy Castle and the Snowdonian Mountains. There are many paintings and antiques to delight the eye in this elegant Georgian country house.
The Vaughans have created a calm, relaxing, unfussy atmosphere, the comfortable rooms abound with paintings and antiques. Wendy Vaughan was Wales` first Michelin Starred female chef. Her cuisine, acclaimed in Vogue magazine, is complemented by an award-winning wine cellar.
Situated mid-way (forty minutes` drive) between Chester and Caernarfon, it is an ideal centre for touring North Wales, Bodnant Gardens, Betws-y-Coed, and the Victorian seaside spa of Llandudno. Three championship golf courses are all within three miles of the hotel. Michael`s help with touring routes and his knowledge of all things Welsh guarantee a memorable stay. You are assured of personal attention at this `beautiful haven of peace`.
On the A470, it is half a mile south of its junction with the A55 expressway, one and a quarter hours from Manchester Airport, three and a half hours from London by rail. Car hire can be arranged to meet your train.
