The Columba reopened in June following a £3 million refurbishment.

The hotel now offers: Four star levels of comfort and service in each of its 76 remodelled bedrooms; the new John Macnabs Bar Bistro at street level (featuring 106 Malt Whiskies, local real ale, local produce on the menu and live traditional music on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings); a new Carvery restaurant and a suite of dedicated meeting rooms.
