Located on one of the prettiest squares in the country, situated opposite the award-winning Abbey Gardens and Cathedral, this family run historic hotel, originally a Coaching Inn, dates back to 1452.

There is a choice of two restaurants, the Vaults situated in the 12th Century undercroft, serving brasserie-style food, and the magnificent Abbeygate Restaurant (2 AA Rosettes), offering extensive a la carte and table d`hote menus, using local produce where possible.

The hotel has 65 en-suite bedrooms, comprising of four posters, suites, family rooms, double and twin rooms, many of which are air-conditioned.
