.html`> here for special and substantially discounted rates from Laterooms The house started life as a manse in 1840 but has been run as an hotel for 60 years. Set in four acres of landscaped grounds, it enjoys a quiet position overlooking the beautiful and historic Pass of Killiecrankie with lovely views to the wooded hills beyond. Good food and wine, comfortable rooms and a lack of formality are equally important to Tim and Maillie Waters, who took over the Killiecrankie in 2001. Many guests return time and again to enjoy the special sense of relaxation which prevails in this carefully run hotel. The surrounding area provides stunning walks and views.
