The beaches and coast is just a few seconds walk away and a variety of shops, entertainment, restaurants, pubs, are only a short distance down the hill. Welcome to historic Whitby, heart of Yorkshires stunning Heritage Coast. Ancient cobbled streets still meander beneath cliffs dominated by the Gothic remains of our Abbey. Golden sands sweep westward. Whitby, the homes of `Dracula and his author Bram Stoker, Captain James Cook and his ships that circumnavigated the World, Heartbeat and fictional tales of locals during the 60`s`, tales of heroic deeds, smuggling, fossil hunting, waterfalls, walking the beautiful North Yorkshire Moorlands are all here in Whitby.
