Set in the glorious countryside of the Upper Ceiriog Valley, the tiny village of Llanarmon D.C. is very beautiful, and yet still a real working village. At the centre of the village stands The Hand Hotel, a 16th century farmhouse which radiates character and charm. It`s hard to imagine a more tranquil setting in which to enjoy a well-earned break away from the crowds. Some wonderful National Trust properties - Erddig, Chirk and Powis Castle - are nearby, and many of the popular attractions of North Wales, such as Snowdonia, Portmeirion, and Bodnant Gardens, provide a pleasant day out within easy striking distance. The highest waterfall in Wales, at Pistyll Rhaeadr, is a few miles away. So too is the town of Llangollen, home to the annual International Eisteddfod. Name almost any country pursuit, and we can arrange it for you. Take a long hike over the wild and undiscovered Berwyn Mountains, then snuggle down by the log fire in our oak-beamed bar to enjoy a glass or two before wrapping yourself round an excellent meal cooked to your order by our superb chefs. Children, and dogs, welcome. The Hand Hotel is the ideal place for a long or short stay. Ratings/Awards:WTB 3 Stars
