Soughton Hall, built as a bishops palace in 1714 and steeped in history, is just 15 minutes outside Chester in beautiful North Wales countryside and approached down one of the finest tree-lined avenues seen in the UK.

Through large mullioned windows in each luxurious bedroom and bathroom, glorious views of surrounding parkland are enjoyed, whilst dinners are taken in either the hotel formal dining room or the informal bar restaurant within the original stables, which provide a real ale bar (shortlisted Pimms Bar of the Year 2000).

There is a wine shop where guests select their wines from open racks, and can then see the chefs prepare food from an open kitchen, then dine within the haylofts, under a magnificent oak beamed ceiling.

Winner of the Wales Tourism Hotel of the Year Award 2000, Soughton Hall is a truly unique hotel.

To take a leisurely stroll around the hotel and stables, take a virtual tour on our website at the web address listed above.
