The privately owned Wordsworth Hotel is a lovely Victorian lakeland house set in one of the most beautiful villages in the Lake District surrounded by spectacular scenery that so inspired the poet Wordsworth. The views can be enjoyed froim the peaceful lounges furnished with fine antiques, or from the conservatory and cocktail bar. The hotel is best known for its warm welcome, friendly and personal style of service not often seen in hotels today.
There are 35 en-suite bedrooms, several with four posters and whirlpool baths. One of the added attractions is an indoor pool and jacuzzi overlooking the beautiful gardens. The Prelude Restaurant provides outstanding food and wine. The chef has won several awards including two AA Rosettes. The hotel pub next door, The Dove and Olive Branch, is a friendly meeting place with traditional beer and tasty snacks and delicious light meals.
There are several rooms that can be used for meetings with natural daylight and two overlooking the gardens ideal for top level board meetings and private parties. There are PC points in all the bedrooms.
