Carved into the chalk of the South Downs, the famous Neolithic Long Man of Wilmington gazes down at the pretty white front and blue shutters of Crossways. The house is set back from the road in two acres of neat informal gardens, complete with a small pond and resident ducks - with a bit of luck they will greet you on arrival! Even if the ducks fail to oblige, the resident proprietors always provide a friendly welcome to this restaurant with rooms.
