Guthrie Castle (Est. 1468) is a privately owned “fairytale” 15th Century castle that is situated in Angus, Scotland, near the base of the Highlands. It is almost equally distant from Arbroath, Forfar, Montrose and Brechin. An ideal location for holidays spent golfing, fishing, skiing, shooting, walking or just relaxing! We do not operate as a hotel but we do take in “house guests” (a minimum of 6 people.) The castle sits within 156 acres of mature woodlands and has its own private Chapel, Historic Walled Garden, Loch, and 9-Hole Golf Course. The unique ambience is captured in the period furniture, paintings and antiques throughout each room. Guthrie Castle is the ideal romantic venue, perfect for Weddings. Conferences for up to 400 delegates can also be catered for. Restaurant
