Gentle, comfortable elegance, obvious attention to customer care and well being, authentic country house ambience and charm, and rather special Taste of Scotland commended cuisine are the hallmarks of this stunning, secluded country mansion house nestling in a tranquil, peaceful country setting offering views to die for over Pitlochry and the Tummel Valley. Only 2 miles from Pitlochry but without the hurly burly. You could be excused for thinking you were not in a hotel but in a house, such is the home from home feel and easy friendly attitude. Proprietor Nicole McKechnie spent many years in the USA and brings some delightful continental touches to what is otherwise essentially inventive local Scottish cuisine in daily changing menus.
9 individual bedrooms full of character, period artefacts and a carefully preserved classical interior evoke memories of yesteryear, yet there is no mistaking the carefully judged modern standards of service and warm hospitality. A feeling that you are amongst friends.
And with some of Scotland`s finest visitor attractions, including Blair Castle, House of Bruar, Pitlochry`s `Theatre in the hills`, several distilleries including Scotland`s smallest, Edradour very close by, and its oldest, Glenturret not so very far away - and a haven of outdoor activity including some of Scotland`s finest walking and some great golf - this is an outstanding alternative country base to Pitlochry from which to enjoy the very best of all that is Highland Perthshire.
