The grand handsome buliding, which dates back to 1180, was originally a monastary and later became a nunnery. Many of the best features from the fourteenth century have been preserved, including the ancient flagstones and the very rare sixteenth century glass medallions which surround the nun`s court. A wonderful selection of daily fresh fish, seafood, meat and game are displayed in the main restaurant, complimented by a vast cellar of wines, champagnes and ports, served from The Priory`s spectacular Oak Bar.
