Harington`s Hotel is set in a picturesque cobbled street right in the heart of Bath. There is very little traffic but lots of activity in the shops and galleries in the street. The most complete and best preserved Georgian city in Britain. The spa was used by the Romans, and the remains of the Roman occupation are still there to be seen today, beside the 18th century Pump Room. The Royal Crescent is the crowning glory of this Georgian town. Designed by John Wood. But there are a number of equally spectacular Georgian buildings - the Upper Assembly Rooms and the Circus. The central city area is quite small and is easy to get around.
