Alton Lodge, which has recently been refurbished throughout, is an established family run hotel in an attractive setting less than one mile from the City centre. The emphasis is on high standards and good value. The A la Carte Restaurant has a reputation for quality and choice. Dinner is available on Monday to Thursday evenings only. There is a licensed Residents Bar and Lounge which also serves bar snacks and which, like the restaurant, is available Monday to Thursday evenings only. At weekends (Friday to Sunday inclusive) the hotel operates, motel style, on a bed and breakfast basis only.
