The Starr is family owned and run. The proprietor, Brian Jones, has been at The Starr since 1979, during which time he has built up an enviable reputation for fine food and wines offered with personal, high quality service. The restaurant, meeting rooms, and bedrooms are housed in a four hundred year old timber framed building overlooking the market place in Great Dunmow, a delightful quiet market town in North West Essex. The Starr in Great Dunmow offers an ideal location for conferences and meetings, with easy access from the M11 and M25, and just seven miles from London Stansted airport.
