The Duke of York Inn is located in the village of Shelf near Halifax, Yorkshire. Built in the 17th century this former coaching inn has been extended and renovated over the intervening years but still retains its unique character. It has rooms for bed and breakfast, a fine restaurant, ample parking and resident ghosts (allegedly). Whilst being a stop off point for many travellers en route to the Yorkshire Dales and Haworth it is also a local pub for the many characters of the area. |
