The Applegarth has all the friendliness and comfort of a family-run hotel - in a building rich with historical interest.
Five minutes from the hotel you could be stepping out onto the fells, boarding a lake steamer, visiting the Windermere Steamboat Museum, or looking around the National Park Centre at Brockhole; and yet the Applegarth is only 20 minutes by car from the M6 motorway and even handier for the main bus and rail services.
The Applegarth has eighteen individually designed bedrooms, many of which enjoy excellent views towards the fells and Lake Windermere. All offer en-suite facilities, colour TV and tea and coffee making facilities. Five rooms also have luxury four-poster beds. All our rooms are light and spacious with plenty of room to relax, unwind and enjoy your stay here in the most beautiful corner of England.
