High above Stroud on the wilds of Rodborough common is the Bear Hotel. This was originally built as a coaching inn and it has recently undergone a careful and precise restoration returning it to its former glory. The view from The Mulberry restaurant overlooks the Woodchester Valley and on summer evenings there are often barbecues on the terrace.
