In the nineteenth century, Colwick Hall was an Ideal Resort with elegant bedrooms and the landed gentry would arrive on steamboats along the River Trent and enjoy afternoon teas on the lawn overlooking the country park.
Colwick Hall Hotel is a magnificent palladian style Georgian country house mansion nestling in over sixty acres of parkland. A historic building dating back to Saxon times and once the ancestral home of Lord Byron.
