You are always assured of a very warm welcome at Cringletie House, situated just outside Edinburgh. Nestled in 28 acres of woodland and gardens on the sloping hills of the Scottish Borders, this stunning baronial mansion has log fires burning in its elegant public rooms and the restaurant with its hand-painted ceiling. Culinary delights are coming from the skilled kitchen team and are enjoyed in this stunning dining room.
Everything is geared to providing guests with the ultimate comfort in stylish surroundings. Service is professional but informal and friendly. Service buttons in all public rooms act as they did in the old days: summon the butler for that cup of tea or coffee, or perhaps something stronger.
The hotel`s bedrooms are individually decorated and all have glorious views over the gardens and rolling countryside. All have free high speed internet and a complimentary PC with internet access is available in the library.
The 400 year old walled garden is something very special. Allegedly the oldest walled garden in Scotland, it produces a variety of vegetables for the kitchen; it also has a games area as well as a seating area for quiet reflection.
The hotel is fully wheelchair accessible and has set aside a room specifically for guests with mobility problems and guests with impaired hearing.
Whether you want to visit Edinburgh`s fascinating sights, explore the rich history of the Scottish Borders or just experience a touch of luxury and a taste of Scotland`s famous hospitality, Cringletie House has it all!
