Scottish Hotel of the Year, the KILCAMB LODGE HOTEL is a beautifully
restored country house with eleven bedrooms, breathtakingly situated on the
shores of Loch Sunart. Twenty acres of natural lawns and woodland lead down
to half a mile of private shoreline and the Strontian River.
Kilcamb is steeped in the history of not only the villages around it but of
the whole peninsula.
It is indeed at the Gateway to Ardnamurchan, which is almost an island.
Kilcamb Lodge and the village of Strontian are in the heart of some of the
finest and most untouched countryside in the British Isles.
Loch Sunart, directly in front of the hotel, is a nature lovers dream with
otters, seals, pine martins, wildcat, red and roe deer, golden eagles and
many species of birds. Wild flowers grow in abundance in the hotel grounds
with many rare wild orchids amongst the vast variety to be seen.
The hotel is family owned and run, and has been substantially renovated,
upgraded and extended to improve the facilities. You will find luxurious
accommodation, fine wines and food and warm hospitality.
Awards include the Good Hotel Guide`s César award for Scottish Hotel of the
Year, and the AA`s Care and Courtesy award, Two AA Rosettes for fine cuisine
and Scottish Tourist Board 4 Stars.
We are delighted to have been chosen by the AA to receive their top accolade
as one of the TOP 200 Hotels in the UK to be awarded 2 Red AA Stars.
We are also members of the Taste of Scotland and were finalists in the
Restaurant of the Year for Scotland. We take full advantage of the very best
local produce. DetailsRatings/Awards:AA 2 Red Stars Number of Rooms:11 Price per RoomDouble:£95 - £145 Restaurant Chef:Neil Mellis Awards:AA 2 Rosettes Taste of Scotland |
