The Lovat Arms Hotel welcomes you to Fraser Country. This stylish family owned hotel is Situated in the beautiful, bustling village of Beauly, 10 miles from Inverness, the capital of the Highlands. The Frasers of Lovat are the principal clan in the area and their local history extends back to the thirteenth century.
The Foyer is warm and welcoming with a natural log fire. A cosy meeting place for tea, coffee or a dram. The Strupeg (Gaelic for `wee drop from the spout`) offers a quality menu for morning coffee, bar lunches, suppers and afternoon teas.
The Garden Room with adjoining conservatory is ideal for intimate family occasions or for Conference use.
Our award-winning restaurant menu regularly features Aberdeen Angus beef, lamb and venison from the Fraser family farm. All traditionally reared. Also, game and fish from local estates.
All our bedrooms are en suite and feature a clan tartan with relevant clan history and have canopied or half-tester bed. Some also feature a tapestry.
Always a beautiful, sheltered area, the name Beauly is probably derived from the French `beau lieu` - beautiful place.
The Beauly Firth is a haven for seals, dolphins and all kinds of seabirds. The River Beauly is famous for its salmon. All around is the natural grandeur and beauty of the Highlands. Strathglass, Glen Strathfarrar and Glen Affric, one of the longest and most majestic of Scotland`s glens, area close to Beauly, making it an ideal centre for those interested in fishing, shooting, riding, walking, birdwatching or monster spotting in Loch Ness.
Within easy reach are the golf courses of Muir of Ord, Aigas, Fortrose on the Black Isle, Nairn, Strathpeffer, while the famous Dornoch links lies further north for those who seek championship standard.
Wonderfully central, Inverewe Gardens, Gairloch, Fort Augustus, Fort William, Inverness, Ullapool and the Isle of Skye, the whole of North, East and West coasts are within a comfortable driving distance.
