Maison Talbooth
Tranquillity is the essence of this Victorian country house, which enjoys a superb position on a bluff overlooking the river valley. The ten bedrooms are luxurious, individually decorated and have bathrooms that are a special pleasure. Breakfast and light meals are available in the hotel but, for lunch and dinner, guests dine at Le Talbooth which is within walking distance, or a minute away in the hotel courtesy car.
Le Talbooth Restaurant
Set in an idyllic garden on the banks of the Stour, Le Talbooth features in Constable`s famous painting of the Dedham Vale. It still retains all the atmosphere of the delightful sixteenth century timber framed house, once a toll booth for horse drawn river traffic, now a fine restaurant with an international reputation for excellence.
