On the A449 midway between Malvern and Ledbury, the hotel straddles the Herefordshire/Worcestershire hilltop county border at British Camp, the Iron Age hillfort also known as the Herefordshire Beacon. British Camp - `one of the goodliest vistas in England` - offers walks with the same breathtaking views that inspired Edward Elgar`s stirring music.
