The Powfoot Golf Hotel was originally a Victorian Villa built in the 19th century as a private residence. The house has been tastefully modernised to create a stylish and comfortable 18 bedroom family run hotel. There are spectacular views over the Solway Firth to the Cumbrian Fells and many of the bedrooms overlook the links of the championship Powfoot Golf Course.

Food is an eclectic mix of traditional and modern using the best of local suppliers for beef, lamb and game. Fish and shellfish often comes from local boats fishing of the west coast of Scotland. Meals are served in the bar, conservatory and lounge areas. There is a small but interesting selection of New World and South American wines.

The Powfoot Golf Hotel has several function rooms on offer. The Solway Room is a lovely first floor south facing room with panoramic sea views and its own terrace, especially suited for smaller parties. For larger numbers, our Solway Suite can cater for up to 150 guests. The hotel also has conference and meeting facilities with the Solway Function suite catering for up to 120 guests.

Enjoy a relaxing break in this un-spoilt part of Scotland or enjoy the many activities available such as bird-watching, golf, fishing and wild fowling. On cooler nights real log fires burn in the lounge and bar adding the finishing touch to a fine standard of Scottish hospitality here at the home of golfing breaks and holidays in south west Scotland.
