`A little bit of Heaven anchored in Fenland` said Paddy Burt of the Daily Telegraph. This 350 year old Riverside Inn has a feeling of true antiquity enhanced by old gas lighting, log fires and antiques. Bedrooms are recently furnished with every comfort whilst the food has earnt the Anchor the title of `Country Dining Pub of the Year` by the 2001 Good Pub Guide. Spectacular views across the Ouse Washes and amazing sunsets give the Anchor that `away from it all` feeling but we are very close to Ely and its Norman Cathedral, the ancient University City of Cambridge and Newmarket Races.
