Wentbridge House dates from 1700 and is set in 20 acres of gardens and grounds in the beautiful Went Valley. The hotel is steeped in history and provides a relaxing and peaceful setting that is within easy reach of the cities of Wakefield, Leeds, York and Doncaster.
There are 18 individually designed bedrooms including the Oakroom with its Thompson of Kilburn furniture, antiques and Persian rugs. Attention to detail ensure guests every comfort – Superior bedrooms have CD players and all bedrooms have direct dial telephones, wireless broadband for email and internet access, Molton Brown bathroom products, tea and coffee making facilities and garment press.
Wentbridge House focuses on delivering good food in a relaxed atmosphere which appeals to both our hotel guests and the local community. Experienced and creative chefs preside over the award-winning ‘Fleur de Lys’ Restaurant which attracts cosmopolitan lovers of food and wine. Emphasis is placed on using local produce and the best of British ingredients to produce a wide range of both classic and contemporary dishes.
The Wentbridge Brasserie & Bar offers more modern surroundings in which to enjoy morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea or dinner overlooking the gardens. Many wines are available by the glass, service is less formal and the food modern British in style. Without doubt this is one of the most stylish eating places in the area.
Wentbridge House is a perfect venue for wedding receptions, conferences, private dining and entertaining whether on a grand or intimate scale.
