An air of elegance and calm informality pervades this exquisitely furnished Welsh country house. Warmly welcoming, this award winning retreat stands serenely in 50 acres of parkland including a large trout lake, a haven for fascinating wildlife. In such a setting, guests experience the true feeling of Wales.

One may enjoy a mouth watering, traditional Welsh afternoon tea in front of log fires in the lounge or in the garden in summer. Dining by candlelight in the restaurant is a memorable experience; the cuisine has been winning prestigious awards for its excellence.

Suites and bedrooms are delightfully appointed, each having a private bathroom, television, direct-dial telephone, period furniture and fine pictures and books.

Excellent salmon and trout fishing is available on the rivers Wye and Irfon and the hotel`s own picturesque lake which regularly yields trout of five pounds and over and has no closed season.

There is tennis, croquet, clay pigeon shooting and a nine hole golf course within the grounds. The hotel`s billiard`s room is a popular evening venue. There are four 18 hole courses in the vicinity and pony trekking can be arranged.
