Standing amid 10 acres of beautiful grounds and woodland on the edge of Limpley Stoke Valley, a designated area of natural beauty is Homewood Park, one of Britain`s finest privately-owned smaller country house hotels. This lovely 19th century building has an elegant interior, adorned with beautiful fabrics, antiques, oriental rugs and original oil paintings. Lavishly furnished bedrooms offer the best in comfort, style and privacy. Each of them has a charm and character of its own, most have good views over the Victorian garden. The outstanding cuisine has won the hotel an excellent reputation. The a la carte menu uses wherever possible produce from both local suppliers and from Homewood itself. A range of carefully selected wines, stored in the hotel`s original medieval cellars lies patiently waiting to augment lunch and dinner.

Before or after dinner guests can enjoy a drink in the comfortable bar or drawing rooms, both of which have a log fire during the cooler months. The hotel is well placed for guests to enjoy the varied attractions of the wonderful city of Bath with its unique hot springs, Roman remains, superb Georgian architecture and American Museum. Further afield but within reach are Stonehenge and Cheddar caves.

Directions: On the A36 six miles from Bath towards Warminster.
