An impressive mansion built in 1849 its lawned gardens contain some of the most diverse and mature woodlands in the area. It was originally a home of General Johnstone and later that of Sir William Younger. Now one of Southern Scotland`s most charismatic hotels and restaurants it has retained many of its original features.
