Edinburgh First has recently refurbished one of its truly stunning 18th Century mansions. Salisbury Green reopened in June 2006 as `Salisbury Green Hotel and Conference Centre` giving the University of Edinburgh the benefit of year round accommodation of a 4* standard at its Pollock Halls Campus.
The sympathetic £2.8m refurbishment has retained all the period features within this magnificent building and provides 36 en-suite twins, double, single and family bedrooms, some of which are accessible for disabled guests. Each bedroom will have the features you would expect from a hotel of this standard plus free internet access.
The Gallery provides a relaxing environment for guests whilst the landscape gardens are perfect for taking advantage of the warm summer evenings. A drinks and snacks service is available between 2.00pm and 10.00pm; however visitors can also make use of the guest pantry at any time.
Four beautifully proportioned meeting rooms are also available, each one offering a wealth of period features and flexible enough to host a variety of meetings and events. In addition, the hotel benefits from having access to all the conference and event facilities around the Pollock Halls site.
