At the Stair Arms Hotel we do our very best to ensure you have a wonderful stay with us. Here you will be assured of receiving a warm welcome in a relaxed atmosphere and excellent food, with a Scottish flavour.
The Stair Arms Hotel is located on the A68 route between Edinburgh and the Borders. Set in the open countryside, it is a natural stopping off point.
The restaurant is cosy and comfortable - perfect to help you unwind and relax after a long journey where you can enjoy a fantastic meal. All the food at the hotel is homemade and cooked to order. Children are more than welcome. There are play facilities outside and a children`s menu available in the restaurant.
Altogether we have 12 bedrooms that are all individually designed and decorated. They are spacious rooms with coloured televisions, as well as tea and coffee making facilities.
Within the hotel we also have two function rooms ideal for weddings. The Stair Arms Hotel is the perfect venue for a perfect day. The Patio Bar is an ideal room for small groups as the room can seat up to 20 guests. With the wood panelling and beams as well as the log fire, it transforms into a wonderful space for you and your guests to enjoy a celebratory meal.
The Coaching Suite has its own self-contained bar and is suitable for weddings with 21 to 120 guests. The room is extremely bright and sunny with large windows and double doors that can be opened into the garden. The Coaching Suite also has a civil license for a Registrar to come and perform your personal marriage ceremony.
To assist with the planning of your wedding we have a function coordinator, who can help you with your plans, and with the backing of the expert and experienced staff at the hotel, you can assured of a very special day. It is also possible to provide outside catering at any other venues.
