Built in 1883 and centrally situated on the main A96, between Aberdeen and Inverness, the newly refurbished Royal Hotel is an ideal base for Golfing, Fishing, Shooting, Visiting Castles and simply sightseeing the magnificient Moray coastline. Centrally located on the Malt Whisky Trail between Aberdeen and Inverness. The hotel offers warm, friendly hospitality, comfortable rooms and a visit to Scotland`s only Tartan Museum is a must.
We have a choice of 2 conference rooms, 1 can hold up to 200 people theatre style and the other can hold up to 60 people theatre style, both with great natural daylight. The hotel has built up a good reputation locally for weddings and family gatherings over many years. We have a choice of room sizes to accommodate large and small functions.
First Floor airy restaurant with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside seats 30 covers. The hotel boasts a reputation for good wholesome cooking using local produce. Our a la carte menu encompasses many tastes of Scotland dishes.
Our newly refurbished lounge bar has traditional wooden floors and open fire place, and services a wide variety of snacks and light meals. Our plasma screen TV shows all sporting events and there is the pool table and juke box for your own entertainment. Regular guest appearances by local musicians.
