The Redhouse is located in the historic village of Kelham, two miles from Newark and five miles from Southwell. Set in nine acres of parkland and landscaped grounds, the country hotel and restaurant was acquired by Lisa and Martin Abel in December 2005. It is the perfect venue for an intimate dinner, private party, society wedding or conference. The house is an eclectic mix of historic grandeur and funky modern design. The main restaurant seats up to forty and Proprietor Chef, Martin uses only the best local produce - some of it organic; consequently there is a strong seasonal bias. Morning coffee, afternoon tea and light lunches are available either in the cosy snug which boasts an open log fire or on the garden terrace that overlooks beautiful landscaped gardens and parkland. There is an interesting bar menu and good selection of fine malts, liqueurs and a developing wine and cocktail list.
