On the ancient Market Square of the `Gateway to Wensleydale`, the Golden Lion is a traditional family hotel with an excellent range of modern facilities. A well-located base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the Golden Lion has 15 en-suite rooms and a restaurant with extensive menus. There is a lift to all floors, and many rooms have been specially adapted for disabled guests. The Hotel is noted for its freshly prepared food of local origin. We offer both A la Carte and Table d`Hote menus. Vegetarian and other diets are well catered for. There is an extensive wine list. The Hotel also has a banqueting suite for events and conferences. The Hotel`s bedrooms have views over Leyburn and across to the racehorse training gallops of Middleham. All rooms have television, telephone, radio, and tea and coffee making facilities.
