Chalk Lane Hotel combines olde world charm with the service from courteous and efficient staff. Chalk Lane Hotel is only ten minutes walk from the famous Derby Racecourse and a stroll from the town centre and train station.
The restaurant serves such culinary temptations as Goats Cheese Souffle, Chicked Ceaser Salad, Crab Risotto, Confit of Salmon. The treats carry on into the desert menu with recipes like Autumn Pudding, Prune & Armagnac Tart and Pineapple and Vanilla Souffle.
Sunday lunch is traditional and served each week, two courses £16.50, three courses £19.50. During the week at lunchtime we offer a contemporary selection of dishes, on the Chef`s fixed price menu, two courses £10, three courses £15 (includes a glass of our house wine with each price option).
The wine list will please any connoisseur with a large selection of New World choices and some particularly delicious wines from Bordeaux.
At Chalk Lane Hotel we know that our capable and friendly staff will contribute to making your visit happy and memorable. The hotel has 22 bedrooms, and using the Woodcote or Chessington rooms, can host parties and business meetings of up to 20 people. We welcome weddings of up to 120 persons in the Epsom Suite as well as Dinner Dances and special occasions.
