Ettington Park is a magnificent gothic mansion and the ancestoral seat of the Shirleys, England`s oldest family, since 1086. Built from six different types of Cotswold stone, this unique country house hotel is set in the heart of a six thousand acre estate. Its dreaming spires overlook beautiful formal gardens and its elegant lawns sweep down to the banks of the River Stour as it meanders through the grounds. The interior of the house is equally spectacular, with its delicate Rococo plasterwork, original wood panelling, vaulted ceilings and individually furnished rooms. Nowhere in Britain has such a unique style and setting to match this grand dame of country houses.
