The Lensfield Hotel, established since 1959, has become a relaxing, well-appointed sanctuary for business travellers, visitors from overseas and many college undergraduates and their parents.
The building dates back to around 1850 and is centrally situated only a few hundred yards from university, leisure and shopping amenities. The resident owners take pride in giving friendly and efficient service to all guests - and are always available to provide local information.
Travellers can enjoy a high standard of service and comfort. The hotel, and all 30 bedrooms are fully centrally heated. Each has private shower or bathroom, direct-dial telephone, modem points, colour satellite television, radio and full tea and coffee making facilities. We also offer wireless internet technology throughout the entire hotel.
In keeping with many of our guests wishes, there are smoking and non-smoking rooms available. Particular requests should be made at the time of booking.
There is a small, comfortable residents` lounge and an informal bar serving fine beer and wine.
In the downstairs restaurant, the new dining room and conservatory provide the ideal setting for the casual or formal dinner, from the Table d`hôte or a la carte menus. Due to the proud traditions of the Greek owners, there is always an authentic dish available.
