The hotel, established from what was at one time the village blacksmiths, two cottages and the shop, has been renovated and extended to make a very comfortable Country Hotel with 12 bedrooms, all with private bath, WC, central heating, tea & coffee making facilities, colour TV, direct dial telephone, radio. All the bedrooms face either south or south-west. Some overlook the village pond and mill stream, the remainder our courtyard and walled garden There is a small oak beamed bar with log fire, a large drawing room, which together with the dining room, open on to the stone flagged terrace overlooking the mill stream. Whenever possible we purchase our produce locally. Poultry, game, fish from Whitby and Scarborough, Yorkshire lamb and Helmsley beef Ratings/Awards:AA / RAC 3 Stars
