The Macdonald Holyrood is in the heart of The Old Town city Centre situated between Edinburgh Castle and The Palace of Holyrood House. Positioned adjacent to The Scottish Parliament and overlooking Arthur¡¦s Seat, giving the hotel it¡¦s unique quiet location assuring you of a good nights sleep. Your preferred shopping on Princes Street is less than 5 minutes away, enjoy a theatre performance at Edinburgh¡¦s Playhouse before it reaches The West End.
There are 156 delightfully appointed bedrooms in the Holyrood Hotel. There is a choice of rooms ranging from a Club Suite on the exclusive 6th floor with private lounge and butler service to our Junior Suites overlooking Arthur¡¦s Seat. All bedrooms are fully en suite and equipped to a high standard with fluffy bathrobes, slippers, toiletries and mini bars. Complimentary water is offered. The hotel has limited parking available at an additional cost.
Complimentary use of the Holyrood Vital Club, facilities include a 14 metre indoor pool, sauna, steam room and a high-tech fitness club. Alternatively why not relax with our qualified Beauty Therapists offering an array of treatments from Massage, Manicures, Pedicures and Facials, our brochure and tariff is available from the Hotel.
True to our Scottish heritage, OPUS 504 our Wild Fish and Chophouse, serves beef from the finest Scottish herds, our menu is fresh and varied with Creamed Arbroath smokie , Cullen Skink, Wild sea bass, Poached smoked haddock, Fillet, Sirloin, Rib Eye Chop and T Bone .

Light snacks, cocktails and drinks are served in our lounge by an open fireplace, with a pianist in the evening.
