In the heart of Highland Perthshire, sitting at the foot of Glen Lyon - one of Scotland`s most beautiful glens - lies the historic conservation village of Fortingall, famous for it`s Arts & Crafts architecture. Within the village, the Fortingall Hotel welcomes those in search of a rural retreat.
The hotel has recently been fully refurbished in keeping with the original style of the , Sir James McLaren. The hotel has 10 bedrooms, 1 twin and 9 doubles. Of the double rooms we have 7 standard and 2 superior rooms. Each of the rooms have a king size bed and are fully en suite. The rooms are named after each of the estates in the area and are furnished with the tweed of each estate.
Fortingall Hotel contains a restaurant where 3 course meals are available each evening. Our chef has built a very good reputation in the area. As much as possible we use local produce. In addition to this we also have a lounge bar where you can enjoy a restaurant meal or bar snack. The hotel also contains a cosy public bar with live Scottish music on a Friday night. For our residents and guests we have a fully stocked library where you can read about walks and activities in the area or simply relax and enjoy a refreshment.
We have a small staff who are happy to assist you with any queries. We believe being in the heart of Scotland we offer a perfect location to explore all that beautiful Perthshire has to offer as well as being close to all major Scottish cities. If you are looking for an adventurous holiday there are many walks, watersports, fishing and hunting facilities available. If however, your idea of a perfect holiday is to sit back with your feet up and a cool drink then you are well catered for at Fortingall Hotel also. We look forward to welcoming you soon.
