The Rosins was built in the late 17th to early 18th century, originally named the Duke of Wellington. Here live music was played in the evenings by a group of fiddlers and the resin used to oil their bows was known as `rosin`, hence the Duke of Wellington became the Old Rosins. To this day an original violin, which has been lovingly restored, can be seen as a feature in our `Rosins` restaurant. The hotel offers 15 bedrooms, all refurbished to a high standard and include executive, double and twin, each boasting excellent views over the Lancashire Moors. All bedrooms provide first class amenities including en-suite bathrooms, broadband connection, trouser press, hairdryers, television, telephone and tea/coffee making facilities. Family rooms available.
