Run by the Levis family since 1953 `The Angel` is the quintessential English Inn. Always relaxed and comfortable, there are log fires and oak panelling, low beams and squeaky floorboards; and always George and Lorna on hand to offer friendly and informal service. The restaurant, lit by candlelight in the evenings, has become nationally famous for its traditionally English style of cooking. Breakfast, which is also available to non residents features our own eggs, locally cured bacon and home made bread Lunches are served everyday except Monday. A light snack to a full a la carte is available by log fires in the winter or the streamside garden in summer. In the evenings there is a daily changing range of specialities with a traditional English theme including Lacock beef, fish direct from Cornwall, vegetarian options and the full a la carte menu. |
