A former coaching inn, it is thought to incorporate one of the oldest inns in Gloucestershire. Tewkesbury is full of history, with the famous Abbey, medieval alleyways, timber-framed buildings and the site of the decisive battle of the Wars of the Roses all just a short walk from the hotel. A short drive away are excellent shopping and horseracing in Regency Cheltenham; the cathedrals of Gloucester, Hereford and Worcester; the Cotswolds; the Malvern Hills; the Forest of Dean, and much more.
