Moccas Court is a Grade 1 Georgian house. Widely regarded as Herefordshire`s finest, it provides the ideal setting for a really rewarding stay. Unique in its surroundings, the Court offers perfect peace, perched above terraced banks over the lazy river Wye.
The history and the setting are today matched by a warm welcome and friendly atmosphere. Whilst the house itself might seem imposing at first, this is a family home. Stepping through the front door reveals an elegant interior of intimacy and charm. Family portraits and beautiful furniture combine with tranquil vistas of some of the finest landscapes in Britain; landscapes set out by `Capability` Brown and Repton.
The accommodation consists of five large rooms, all with their own beautiful bathrooms. Each one is decorated to a standard that any Five star hotel would be proud of, and with views that would be hard to match, anywhere.
After pre-dinner drinks in the Library, guests are shown into to the Round Room for Dinner, its hand painted wall paper bathed in soft candlelight. There can be few more romantic dining rooms in Great Britain.
Great attention and care is taken with the cuisine at Moccas. Venison and game from the surrounding parklands, beef and lamb from the nearby hills; everything is carefully sourced, right down to the Cep mushrooms that sometimes appear in the autumn. Dinner is £35 incl VAT.
A stay at Moccas will be unforgettable. Ben and Mimi aim to see that this is for all the right reasons.
Moccas can also be exclusively booked for weddings and events.
