The Scotsman has been converted from the Scotsman Newspaper`s baronial offices into one of the most stylish hotels in the city. The hotel brings together the efficiency of the 21st Century with careful design, attention to the comfort of our guests and the very best in Scottish hospitality.

The 56 bedrooms and 12 suites have been uniquely decorated and combine traditional elegance with contemporary design. Whether you want a magnificent view over the city, enhanced space, or a Suite with a library and sauna would help to make your stay with us more enjoyable, we look forward to offering you the choice. In room facilities include DVD player, 28` television, computer with internet access and printer, modem point, telephone with voicemail, Edinburgh monopoly game table, trouser press, iron and ironing board, mini bar, coffee machines, luxurious toiletries and privacy hatches.

`Escape` located at The Scotsman, and is complimentary to guests staying at the hotel. It extends over two levels and has made the dramatic escape from tradition. Funky cutting edge design, impeccable individual service and state-of-the-art health and fitness technology, sets Escape Health Club apart from its competitors. In addition guests can unwind and relax with a choice of treatments at our `Cowshed` Spa.

North Bridge Brasserie is open all day every day and offers everything from morning coffee and afternoon tea to a delightfully comprehensive menu of salads and grills. If you enjoy a `late lie` on Sundays, Brunch is a must accompanied by a Spicy Bloody Mary of refreshing Bucks Fizz. By night North Bridge is the `Chicest` Bar & Brasserie in town and certainly one of the places to be seen.

Vermilion is the latest stylish and sophisticated new restaurant on the menu at The Scotsman. The a la carte menu changes weekly and wine is also an important feature, with over 100 bins to choose from. The restaurant offers a very friendly yet polished service.
