Lagg hotel sits in a beautiful setting in the south end of Arran. Built in 1791 and family run, our hotel has immense character and guests can enjoy the peace and tranquility which surrounds the hotel in this unique pocket of the island. Relax after a day`s exploring on Arran in the residents lounge or sun lounge which overlooks our extensive gardens.
For dining we have both a lounge bar and the restaurant. The lounge bar menu has a great choice of freshly prepared dishes and snacks for lunch and fantastic gastro meals to enjoy either at lunchtime or in the evening. The friendly ambience of the lounge makes it a great place to enjoy a family meal or have a leisurely drink. Sample some of the finest gourmet dining the island has to offer in the restaurant, which is open daily from 7pm.
We have 13 ensuite bedrooms equipped with television, tea/coffee facilities & hairdryers. Pets are welcome by prior arrangement.
We have a large dining/function room which is ideal for weddings or functions. Our well kept gardens with river running through, provide a perfect setting for wedding photographs and ceremonies. We hold council approval for civil marriages which can take place either inside the hotel or in the garden. We offer a very personalised wedding service and like to work closely with clients to ensure their wedding day is a day to remember.
A number of scenic walks can be taken from the hotel. A woodland lane runs directly from Lagg to the historic burial site at Torrylin Cairn, following on from which is a track that takes you down to a sandy beach. A forest circuit can begin at the hotel and takes you north of the village of Kilmory to take in the Auchaleffan standing stonesand the isolated farmsteads at Auchaleffan and Achariach.
The hotel offers a collection service for guests by prior arrangement.
We like to think your stay at Lagg will be an inspiration for you to relax and forget daily routines and to leave us feeling rested and happy. We look forward to welcoming you as our guest.
