Behind a handsome white-painted frontage adorned with flower boxes, there`s a wealth of period character in the cosy, comfortable bar and seats for over a 100 including the non-smoking dining rooms. Such is the popularity of this handsome inn that customers are able to book tables at lunchtime and in the evenings to make sure of a chance to sample some of the quite excellent food on offer. The range of interesting starters and main courses is supplemented by monthly specials. Around half a dozen fine ales are kept on hand pump and the wine list offers a range of vintages to suit all palates. Six very comfortable en suite bedrooms provide overnight accommodation, and the inn`s location just a short drive from Knutsford makes it ideal for those visiting the North West on business or pleasure. |
