Formerly a wealthy, college-endowed rectory, Bracken House has been converted into a small hotel without losing the general ambiance of a country house. It is delightfully situated in its own little world of eight peaceful acres. The garden attracts lots of birds – regular nuthatches, ravens, occasional woodpeckers, buzzards circling overhead, and elusive wild tawny owls. It is also home to our resident injured owls. Grey wagtails frequent the pond, mallards and moorhens breed, and early risers may catch a heron or kingfisher. Supplement for pets is £4 per dog per day (£16 from week) Sliding scale available for longer stays - Self Catering cottage available from £200 per week
