On the shores of Lake Ullswater, in 18 acres of gardens and parkland, Rampsbeck is an elegant 18th Century Country House, boasting spectacular views of the lake and surrounding fells.

Privately owned, every care has been taken to maintain the character of the house, adding only to its comfort. An AA Top 200 Hotel, the atmosphere is warm and friendly and the service efficient but unobtrusive.

The well-appointed bedrooms are all individually decorated, the majority with views of the lake and garden. Three of the Deluxe rooms have private balconies.

The award winning restaurant is served by Master Chef Andrew McGeorge and his brigade and holds 3 AA Rosettes.

Although less then 15 minutes from the M6 Motorway, Junction 40, Ullswater and the Rampsbeck provides a relaxing and tranquil place to stay, away from the more commercialised southern lakes.
